I'm also annoyed that the Republicans had such a large majority (9-2!) on this committee. There should have been at least one and possibly two more Dems on it. That wouldn't have stopped the bill being voted out of the committee to the whole Senate, but we could and should have had one or two more voices against the bill.

Vouchers will have to go to rich kids already going to private school. They are proposing vouchers for about 100,000 kids. There are currently a little more than 250,000 kids going to private school. It’s unreasonable to think there is space for 40% new private school students. So it’s got to be going to existing kids, likely a lot of wealthy ones.
