It plays into it some, as 18 days just gave more opportunities to early vote, and in most places the 2020 Election Day vote was less than 10% of registered voters. I’d like to think the 2020 turnout was a new normal, but to be confident in that, I would have liked to see the Early Vote play closer on the Registered voter margins. It didn’t, so it leaves a really big stretch for Election Day.
