I know, I know, there are so many other points to make, connections to call out, and nuances to discuss. But with an 8 minute slot to speak, this was my best take on a lightning speed high level overview.

Public education is the foundation of our democracy. We must protect, fund, and improve it. To do that, we have to know what we are up against.
